  Auburn’s 2007 season debut against Kansas State was eye opening. And not in a good way. I became a football fan in the early 80’s, which as fate would have it, coincided with Auburn’s rise as a dominant national power. Auburn ranks as the 8th most successful team in the past 20 years with a 167–68–5 record and so I am spoiled I suppose. But, what I saw on the field last Saturday was the weakest Auburn performance in 25 years.
